January San Diego SoCal Photog ShootOut

Happy Monday inter-web-ers! A couple of weekends ago Brent and I had the pleasure of attending our second ShootOut for the, this time San Diego SoCal Photog ShootOut! (Ha, say that 10x, fast!) We had a blast. We love being able to get together and meet other rad photographers and NOW after we have attended our second one see a couple of familiar faces, and practice what we love to do, while hopefully learning a little along the way from the FABULOUS pro's who were there leading the different groups. This months (rather, Last month now) ShootOut was at the Heritage museum in Encinitas, CA. The week before the shootout had been full of rain and threatened to rain the day of the shoot. But as luck would have it the clouds moved over and allowed the sun to shine her pretty little face all day long. (seriously, there were NO clouds in site!) Anyway, here are a few of my favorites from the day!

Wow. Just wow. Great job, Megan. This looks like such a friggin' COOL shootOut. So jealous of your Cali get-togethers! =) What's it like at a shootOut? Is there a leader who kinda guides everyone or is a shoot free-for-all, or...?? I'd love to hear the details since I've never been to one!

Rachel!! Thank you so much! Its a lot of fun! Where do you live?? I do know they have one in New York too! with this same group! They are a blast. We have a group of models and hair and makeup artists working their magic. Then the models are at different stations where at each station there is a professional photographer just there to answer any questions you have or give you tips or advise. and you are in a small group and just rotate every thirty of forty minutes. Its really awesome! Here is their website...maybe they have one in your area!http://www.photogshootout.com/

I wanted to try to make it to this one! I love the rockabilly/retro/pinup style, and you captured it perfectly!!! Amazing work (especially the one looking over her shoulder into the car side mirror- LOVE!)
